All new current accounts come with contactless as standard and for existing customers, you’ll get a contactless debit card on your next renewal. If you don’t want to wait, give us a call on 08457 20 30 40 or visit a Halifax branch and we’ll arrange for one to be sent out

    So I assume "yes".

    Hi kpearsoncj,

I've got a easy cash account and wanted to change it to a reward account - I didn't think you could upgrade and thought you had to apply for a brand new account. Can I ask how you went about the upgrade cause it will save me having to go through the whole process of applying for a new account.

Give them a call and ask if it is possible to upgrade your easycash account to a full current account. If it is they will do it, there and then and talk you through some legal stuff then upgrade it and send out a new debit card.

There does seem to be a bit of a theme going on here! There are many people on here with multiple current accounts to take advantage of interest on savings but I don't recall seeing anyone else apparently pursuing a large collection of contactless cards, what's the appeal if you don't mind me asking?

hi i dont mean to be rude, but all the different posts were over a few months and all the info is genuine. i dont really get what its got to do with anyone else and why does it matter,

all the things i post are relevant and to the subject of the thread, i dont throw useless info about other banks that dont relate to what people arent asking.

i just want to help if i know / have experienced things and help myself get the best options.

Fair enough, it's your business rather than anyone else's (albeit everything posted on here is obviously then in the public domain) - I was just curious as to why one person would seemingly be trying to get hold of so many contactless cards!

Whats wrong with having contactless cards? All mine except one has contactless I find it very useful for buying items below £20 as I just tap my card on a pin pad that has the contactless feature and go.

None of this I need to get my card out put it in the device, put my pin number in take out the card, put it back in my wallet and then I can go.

You may not find contactless appealing or useful but many of us do.
