You've had your 65 question answered :
- your own #1
- nannytone in #3
- yourself again in #4
- me in #7
- you again in#8
- nannytone again in #10
- you again in#13
The common denominator in all those #numbers is the cut off point at 'pensionable age' not retirement age which was legislated and arbitrary at age 65. At pensionable age all manner of benefits change, I view AA as a generous not means-tested benefit paid regardless of income, savings or National Insurance, contribution record and its tax free. [Lower rate - £54.45 Higher rate - £81.30] to that section of society who need and are entitled to the additional financial help. Most people of both genders can now work for as long as they want to, revised GOV thinking on this matter in 2013 decided that the rise "in line with life expectancy" means that future generations should spend up to a third of their adult life in retirement. The current state pension age is 65 for men and 61 and 9 months for women, by 2018 this age will equalise for both genders at 65.
If you had posed the full extent of your question in #1 - I for one would have seen what was coming and stayed well clear of your thread and avoided being dragged into the Arms. A couple of your posts are irrelevant other than I suspect whining because have to pay car tax. Did you really expect the GOV to pay £200 quid a year to the rising 10 million pensioner people in the UK ?
You are making offensive remarks.
You have no idea what my circumstances are and making slanderous accusations.
1. Your post No 7 was inappropriate and worthless. I had already received a better / more relevant response from sheeps68.
2. As I explained, but you seemed to have ignored, I was seeking confirmation as I thought I might have misinterpreted gov websites.
3. I was not "whining". I was not even asking for my own benefit. I do voluntary work and before passing on misinformation to others less fortunate than myself, I was seeking clarification from MSE.
4. In MY view, AA allowance is given to those who deserve it. I know several who have fought to preserve our freedom and others suffer from debilitating illness like silicosis and injuries suffered at work.
5. I would ask that you put me on ignore. I have no interest in your opinions or wish to receive further "help" from you."A nation's greatness is measured by how it treats its weakest members." ~ Mahatma Gandhi

Dude, grow up. Richie presented the facts and nothing but the facts. I fail to see anything in his posts that suggests he's making an attack on anybody. The guy's a Geordie I believe so I should probably hate him being a Yorkshireman myself but I don't! He is giving straightforward advice and I see no attack on anybody whatsoever. If you don't like his advice (which is always sound) then go elsewhere and get the same advice. All hail the 'we love Richie' brigade. Have a nice day ya boring lot :-D
Ultimately, he's giving straightforward advice, if people take that as an insult then they shouldn't be here.
Missile might have a huge post count but he obviously has a zero count in understanding posts that are attempting to answer his question.0 -

I don't see any posts from you attempting to answer my question. All I can see are spiteful comments. I note similar on many other threads you have posted on......... I too do not see any insults in Richie's posts. May I suggest that as the question has been answered, the thread is allowed to drop further down the page, rather than posters fighting among themselves. Generally this is a friendly board - we should be helping each other, not keyboard fighting.0
