Hi all. I'm new to this and just want advice. My sky broadband was cancelled On 30.07.14. They have taken the money out though on 04.08.14 for the month ahead. They said they will refund after 23.08.14. Is this normal practice?????
Thanks in advance xx

In all likelihood the DD had already been presented (or at least had been prepared) since there isnt much time between cancel date and dd date. Its even more likely if there was a weekend between those dates. I wouldnt say its standard but i think you have just been unlucky with your dates.
You can keep an eye to make sure the refund comes through or if you dont want to wait recover it from the bank via the DD guarantee. If you do this, do it soon and tell sky so they dont end up chasing you for money after refunding you.0 -
Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. You've made more sense than the chat service, call centres and emails with sky. Have a lovely evening x0
