But thought if any one knows of any bargain speakers that would look nice on a desktop (and sound ok ) then drop a link here ..please.
Logitech Black X-140 2.0 = £15 delivered (click here to add a 1p or over item to get free del) (This has been edited - previously £20 delivered)
Logitech X210 2.1 = £20 delivered
Logitech X-230 2.1 = £25 delivered
If you're feeling like splashing out a bit, Creative GigaWorks T20 2.0 = £35 delivered (includes £10 cashback). Look here for dimensions/pics.
If you've just won the lottery I'd suggest the Logitech S100s (they also do them in silver btw
)
Entire list on eBuyer (sorted by ascending prices). G
P.S. Some T20 user/independent reviews:

Its very funny you asked this because i was asked this same question by a person at work.
We both did the hard work and agreed that this was by far the best budget montior available.

You can also purchase this from www.bigpockets.co.uk
If you research, almost every review is 5/5 stars - check the web.
When i saw the monitor in the flesh- it is friggen superb!! - widescreen, sexy looking and at just over a oner, you can't go wrong.
This leaves you with 4 ton to buy a PC, and you can buy a beast with that.0 -
I'd go with the Hyundai Blue-H 22" Widescreen for £190(ish). 1000:1 contrast ratio, DVI and 5ms response time... :eek:Faith is believing what you know ain't so...0

Come on now, the 'best budget monitor' has to be the Hannstar AH191 19" S&B WideScreen at £90 delivered (from post #4). Gsho_me_da_money wrote: »We both did the hard work and agreed that this was by far the best budget montior available.

P.S. Sorry globalds, my speaker suggestions weren't exactly bargains, except for the last one - don't know what I was thinking
. I'm glad you have a sense of humour

Thanks GoofyGat I think I will go for the Creative Gigaworks T20.
Only I can't see how you got them for £35.00 ,even with the ten pound cash back .
These are £49.94 then With The cash back That leaves me with £39.94 ...Has Amazon changed the price that quick...I'll have to tell folks not to click on any links till I've made my purchase if link clicking raises prices.
Cheers for the search
If any one can find them for less than £49.94 with delivery then shout up 'cos I'm ordering soon .0 -
The monitor I chose because she was adamant she wanted a shiny (glass fronted TFT ) and She also wanted BIG .....So a bit too much money whent that way...0

Yep, unfortunately Amazon have been up to their old tricks & raised the price!
Let me get this straight.....you were originally after bargain speakers, but then you set eyes on the T20s (reviews, etc) & all manner of bargain hunting went outta the window, right?! I'm sorry, my fault entirely

If you check My £500 Budget only got me 2 components (I even went over on that)...I Guess i'm gonna be back soon asking for Cheap (but Nice Key board/Mouse bundles )...So don't feel to bad.
...I recon i'm saving the kids mother(My sister) money ..Good speakers means she won't be asking for a new stereo....
Truth is Grandmother is involved now and is gonna pay £300 of the Original £500 as a present ...So I thought ....She may wish for that bit extra ...
...
....
Allright........ I like nice stuff for P.C's and just can't help myself when I see rave reviews and a cash back voucher...0 -

I have decided that the system won't look complete without a nice keyboard and mouse.
The one i'm looking at is the logitech LX710 wireless keyboard and mouse ...the cheapest i can find is on ebuyer
http://www.ebuyer.com/customer/products/index.html?rb=0&action=c2hvd19wcm9kdWN0X292ZXJ2aWV3&product_uid=115847
