My Contribution ESA based is due to end September. Thats my year up . My CPN called office yesterday and was told that an ESA 3 to be sent out. what on earth is a ESA 3 , ive never heard of it . My CPN is telling me to get someone to drop this form off at her office and she will deal with it. Without going into exact details my life is spent behind closed doors . Due to memory issues with heavy meds it was thought i would have been put in the Support group however placed in WRAG which I and CPN thought was wrong decision. I feel Im victimised all over again for being mentally ill. Am I to late to lodge an appeal for support group ? Has anyone else had experience with the ESA 3 ? all my CPN wants me to do is sign the form and get it to her, can she fill this in without me being there to answer the many questions i expect will be on the form, please advice me
Thanks
Thanks

Thank you for link to what will come through the door to which I will get it to CPN. I cannot see how she can fill it in without me being present to answer questions , not due to see her again until 5th September. She just asked me to sign bottom and she would do rest.
My career was Social Work a job I loved (25 years service) but when became mentally unwell I was pensioned off , as i have the small pension I would imagine they would see that as income and would get nothing to help with mortgage etc.
Feeling victimised for having worked since day I l left school and victimised for being ill. I expect there will be so many others in the same postilion as my self. Maybe through this post I will gain some hope that all will be well. I fell today I have some fight in me , to fight for what's right , just a bit guidance on options , to fight for support group or accept the WRAG decision. It feels good to have someone on the end of a PC that are willing to help and feel NOT alone ..

ESA 3 is application to be income assessed.
If your pension is less than ESA income based, you'll be entitled to support with mortgage interest. It doesn't matter how much income based ESA you receive.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

You are entitled to one year in the assessment and work-related groups total before your ESA is time-limited on contribution based ESA.kittenwoman wrote: »My Contribution ESA based is due to end September. Thats my year up ...

The final time-limit for an appeal on the initial decision to place you in the work-related group is 13 months after the decision.
You are therefore in time.

Nothing to add other than my deepest sympathy for I also dread brown envelopes, feeling physically sick when ever I get one.I am responsible me, myself and I alone I am not the keeper others thoughts and words.0

Hi..You're on Contribution based ESA Wrag which is Time limited to 365 days..The ESA3 is an application for Income Related ESA which looks at your current financial situation. Providing you don't have Savings over £6000 or a Partner who Works, blah blah, then you will be converted to Income related ESA and your current benefit will remain in place.
Which is basically what everyone else is saying but what the hell! Good luck.:beer:0 -

Just want to say huge thanks to each and every one of you for taking the time to contribute to my post .
Its a tough one knowing the best road to take , have called my CPN this morning to ask if she needs me present to fill out ESA 3 as how else would she know my details. Unless there is a part they fill in and just send off , what a worry, its that or at least I know I am in time to fight for what's right , do i have the fight in me , tough one ..0 -
