I have seen a CP Plus case lost and a PPS case lost where the PPC wrote some made-up GPEOL statement afterwards which the Assessor believed was a 'genuine pre-estimate' because it added up.martin2345uk wrote: »Although there was one case recently wasn't there where POPLA refused an appeal based on GPEOL...? :-/
It's best to rebut the evidence before POPLA make their decision - in both cases I certainly think the cases could have been won if the GPEOL calculations had been rebutted well.
But this is ParkingEye who don't even contest our POPLA appeals any more!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Gary, don't worry I was just like you, read the Newbies threads and wrongly thought that as I couldn't find situations that mirrored mine, I might not have a case - but the kind people on this forum then pointed out that it isn't so much the details of how/where you did/did not park that could be grounds for appeal, but the fact that there is no legislation in place that allows these companies to pursue you for "fines" (and after reading the threads on this forum you will know they are not fines at all!). As you will see from my post a few minutes ago on this site, I have just been informed today that my appeal has been allowed. If you follow the advice the wonderful people on this site are more than happy to give you, you will be fine. Good Luck!0
