Hi
Ive jused moved back home from a rented accommodation where i had broadband and home phone services provided by EE. Im coming to the end of the 12month contract on the 24th Sep.
I phoned up today and asked about leaving completely as we already had broadband at home.
Was told i would have to pay £6.14 for the rest of my contract which is fine but also a disconnection charge of just over £29, i guess to cut the line. I would have to pay this charge whether i left at the end of my contract or early. I cant find any info on this in the T&Cs.
Can they do this i ask?
Thanks

BT OpenReach have a standard charge to disconnect a line, which is passed to the supplier, who then passes it to you. This is only when a line is ceased, not transferred to another house."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry. I don't quite understand that, but putting my anticipating hat on, I would say you are asking can you still avoid the charge and cancel the line. The answer is no, unless BT OpenReach is unable to provide a telephone service at your new address."There are not enough superlatives in the English language to describe a 'Princess Coronation' locomotive in full cry.
