Forum intermittently slow 12/08/14

The main website is fine but forum pages seem to be loading slowly intermittently. Vista and Firefox.

Slow site again this morning (Saturday) and posts not showing on the boards but are showing in the threads.

ETA this post took 20 seconds to post.
and this edit hung to a stop
