Yet more problems with First Direct now - a 20-30 minute fact find now needed just to open a Regular Saver account (or any other additional account), even when you're a longstanding customer.
How can a once excellent bank go so badly wrong?

Why is it a problem ?0 -
Is wasting 30 minutes of your life not a problem for you?0

Certainly is a problem for me and why as per the other thread if FD decide to stop the opening of a new regular saver to replace an expired one online and require a 20 minute telephone conversation about it I will use another banks regular saver instead as I would rather sacrifice one or two per cent of interest than have to spend twenty minutes listening to terms and conditions or answering questions.0 -

There obviously is a reason, if thats what they want to do, no amount of moaning will change it, there will still be plenty of people who are prepared to listen.
It's incredibly arrogant to essentially suggest "take it or leave it". FD, like all other businesses, exist because they have customers. It seems utterly bizarre to deliberately annoy customers.0
