Hello,
I have just noticed from an old credit card statement from 2004 that AOL have double billed me from May to Dec 04! I am no longer a customer of AOL for many reasons!
I have written to them and asked for the money back but told since it is not within 18 months they cannot refund me my money!!
Has anyone any advice?
Thanks

Contact your old credit card company to dispute the transactions under the reason - duplicated payment. Alternatively contact AOL on 01179191100 and told them to refund the money.
You have 6 years to get your money back if you want to take them (either the credit card company, or AOL or both) to court as both the credit card company and AOL are joint and severally liable for the transactions. It does not matter that you have closed your credit card account or no longer a customer of AOL. The choice is yours.0 -
Hello,
Thats the reason i found that they had double billed me as i am claiming back credit card charges from my old credit card and saw the charges!
Thanks for your advice, I will contact AOL first as they will not get away with this and I will advise in my next letter to them that i will be taking them to court if they do not repay me.
