  • Crickey 11!!! Only four of us but my 11kg washer is on every other day with two loads.
Think il get one it's just the price £50 ish is abit steep I think for a gazebo type umbrella for the rotary, as the gazebo itself that I bought was a tenner!
Any ideas if anyone else stocks either the ones ove posted or similar but cheaper?

I think my cover was £50? I am sure sheds are dearer?

I don't know what a tumble dryer costs to run but my £50 cover has lasted a couple of years and when it did disintegrate (partly though me not looking after it as I should - I.e it did get blown about in wind and it did have heavy snow on it at some points) I bought a new one in a flash.

As I say, I am not sure it does "everything it says on the tin" but as a bleeding great umbrella it works a treat.:D

I was thinking we need a shed anyway so would it be worth me putting a line up in their for when the weather is carp?

I have 2 12Kg machines.. I LOVE them!! They get a lot of hammer, I do only do full loads and maybe 4 loads most days.. usually comprising of someones bedding!

You should get one, try it then come back and give us a review.. I was looking at them last winter but the garden is high walls on 4 sides so I was concerned about the tornado effect that has on the wind!

A godparent bought a house which came with two greenhouses.

He's not a gardener by inclination & was mildly bemused until a mate whisked all the airer tackle into one greenhouse. Now he just uses the tumble drier when he wants warm bedding/bathtowels.

Our house backs onto a horse field and everyone's fences are around 4ft height due to the lovely view, it's also south facing so we get great sun and all so open to the breeze for washing to dry.

Think il wait till the end of the month before I buy, got to watch the pennies this month.

I've had my Rotaire cover for 2 years now and love it.

It has got a small tear in it, which I was told by the owner of Rotaire I can repair with a bit of gaffer tape. However, this came about because like VJsmum, I have not cared for mine as per the instructions. I leave it up until October / November, then put it in my shed (down as no space for it to be up) until March / April.

I have a small minky indoor airer which I use indoors in my kitchen in the months that the outdoor rotary line has been put away for the winter.

I bought the standard cover for a 4 sided airer that I bought from Tesco.

I would not hesitate to replace my Rotaire cover when the time comes.

My OH was skeptical when I bought the Lakeland heated airer but he loves it now.

I paid £75 for mine (think its gone up now) but I'm on year 6 and its still going strong!

I starting to think about this for winter now. Can anyone recommend an airer that can get adult size clothes on as my current one is great for kids and some of my tops but not for trousers or hubby's clothes. I run a dehumidifier and have a window open in room where we only use to eat anyway so it's not all in way unless it's school hols
