  • Adding a further number to your list, as they just called me also - first time.

I am also TPS registered, and they were insistent they weren't cold/calling selling so that didn't matter and said they didn't understand my problem in answering a few questions for them or in wanting to know where they got my number from. Looks like they gave an incorrect address - 5 Belgium Place in Leeds. They insisted they were going to send me a pack and made it clear that would not be well received. They were equally insistent I was their mate, and they didn't know what my problem was. I asked for them to remove my details and not contact me again by any method.

Why do people engage in conversation with these callers? If I get a call from a number I don't recognise (i.e. not in my contact list) I don't answer it. If you answer they will know it's a valid number and sell it on, and you will be bothered by yet another scammer/ambulance chaser.

If it's someone I would wish to speak to (like NHS etc. who have withheld numbers) they will leave a message, and you can ring them back.

    Simple.
  • Was called on my mobile from 0113 493 1030 with a guy who had an accent that could have been from Leeds (where the number is based).
Tried to start the conversation using my surname as if I had already spoken to them about claiming back for paid bank account fees for my HSBC package. Don't have an HSBC package so sent him packing. Would have been easy for him to take my bank details if I was more naive or trusting and I was banking with HSBC.

A cunning plan Mr Blackbeard except that my own clients and potential client bank wouldn't be able to reach me!

The next unsolicited caller gets a blast of Jedward in their ear.

I believe even ISIS refuses to be that cruel..........

When I was called by some PPI company I told them I'd never had a loan. He was so astounded he called off lol.

I keep getting calls from some PC checking company, variety of accents, calling number blocked so I can't even block the number. Very annoying. Every time I tell them I am on telephone preference list, and am aware they are a con service.

    Eventually they'll stop calling hopefully.

Black Pearl Claims have a bar in their sales office, which is on Level 3, City Exchange, Albion Street, Leeds, not at the Albion Place location their website says. Make of this what you will...
