I received an unsolicited call on my mobile this afternoon from this company. The woman making the call was American yet the number that popped up on my screen was a Birmingham one 0121 285 0875

Their address is in Leeds:

They are listed on Companies House and were formed in 2011. Company reg number 07615603.

They were ringing about PPI - now I have never heard of this company and do not know how they got my number (apparently according to the woman that called me - it was a referral). I have never had PPI.

How do I stop these companies from calling me? I get two or three calls a week. Recently I received an unsolicited SMS message from a company offering me a loan.

I just want these scammers to stop contacting me because they are an irritant and rather than having to use my phone to receive calls about I am using it to field unwanted calls. Grrrr

They contacted me via the following number 01397 313110. I said I wasn't interested & wanted my number removed, but the woman insisted that I should receive an information pack.

So I told her I used to work in a compliance for a high street bank and knew a lot about PPI stuff (100%true) and she started yelling down the phone at me.

I am not exaggerating.

She was screaming down the phone to me that I was a liar and demanded to know all the procedures and details about my former employers which of course I cannot give for reasons of confidentiality.

I was absolutely shocked and had to put the phone down.

I gave dashed a complaint email off to cs@blackpearlclaims.co.uk demanding I receive a full apology and my number taken off their list.

I think they are regulated by the Claims Management Regulator but I don't know how helpful they will be.

Dreadful and unprofessional. Most other call centre people I speak to are happy to take my phone number off the list.

I have contacted Claims Management Regulator. Tel no 0333 200 0110. Advice is to contact Telephone Preference Service on 0845 070 0707 re the unsolicited call, but they were also concerned to hear about the aggressive behaviour and I am to contact them again if I do not get a satisfactory response within timescales.

My service provider deletes these messages after seven days.

I also received a phone call from this BlackPearlClaim from 01827 230370.

He was trying to sell PPI thing... was insisting me to go ahead and check if I can claim any money from banks.

I did not disclosed single information and he was so annoyed and I kept replyed to all his convo saying I am kindly requesting to you to remove my mobile number from their database.

He agreed. (Don't know if he has removed or not) will find out in future.

Also blocked the number from setting in my phone. AVOID THIS KIND CALLS.

I just received a cell from Black Pearl on 01883 212165. Indian accent male who hung up after I asked this company and his name.

Checked out their website. It is a very basic WordPress template site.

Caller now blocked.

I also received a call from them today, though this time from this number 01397 313128.

I am really bad at turning people down, so gave some fake info, then the line cut off, so came here to check if they were genuine. After reading this, I've blocked the number.

Overseas callcenters are making calls to appear as UK company?

I am TPS registered, repeatedly request removal of my data, only to be called again and again, despite blocking the numbers.
