only tmobile can give you the code for this phone atm.
the cheapest software and hardware box i know that unlocks most bb5 nokia is about £3000 (no jokes)0 -
If the code has been entered incorrectly to many times, the Network operator code will not be any use, and, at time of writing there is no direct unlock solution for the N73.
For now, your N73 will remain locked to its current network

I never tried it before but read that the unlock counter can be reset, eg,
http://www.fonefunshop.co.uk/Unlocking/unlock/bb5counterresetbuy.htm
You can then enter the (correct) unlock code again.Mark Hughes' blue and white army0 -

no it wont. the product code tells the nokia update service which phone you have and what phone firmware to upload to the phone (branded or unbranded software).
the network locks are separate to the firmware0 -
ok thanks gaming_guy, but what does the 'branded and unbranded' firmware mean?0

If your phone is on orange it will have all the orange menus etc, this means the phone is branded orange, you can remove the branding so the phone just has the original branding (No network branding etc)0 -

You would want to unlock your phone for example, to take advantage of new firmware which you know the manufacturer of the phone has released but which you cannot update due to having an operator branded version. Operators frequently integrate their own content into the firmware as well asoccasionally disabling options (GSM/Dual Modem is one example) and loading that irmware onto their phones.
For example, a lot of people complain that phones received from Orange are very slow, not to mention having the hidious Orange main screen. You change the product code, re-update the firmware and not only do you get the latest one (manufacturers are usually at least several monts ahead of operators for releasin new firmwares) but you get an unbranded phone without the slowness and operator junk.
It's not the same as unlocking, but is a nice touch to neaten up your phone. Also handy if you want to sell the phone - especially if the original operator has disabled options.
