Morning all, always lurk but don't always post.

We too are planning a caravan trip, to Dorset, but as we don't have to book are looking at the weather down there before we trek down from Kent. All ready to go, just need to pop our clothes and fresh food in. Don't really fancy towing in strong winds, so will wait and be safe.

Beautifully sunny but breezy here at present, why go where it's wet! We live on the coast and when the weather is good it's beautiful, although I like seaside winters too.

Hugs where needed and hope all are safe in the aftermath of Bertha.

Lovely and sunny here today. The tail end of the hurricane didn't hit us luckily. We did have rain yesterday though.

Have made an appointment for youngest. He has ASD but I can't cope with him at the moment. I feel dreadful tbh.

Need to empty dw and put a load on the wm. Not feeling too good this morning though so cba and nothing has been done whatsoever. I've even only had 1 cup of coffee.

Right, I shall go now and pull myself together
    love, hugs and spoons xxx

    Morning All

Last day of school holidays here - back to the grind tomorrow. 2 in-service days and the children return on Thursday. I have quite a few little jobs to do today so will shower in a minute and get going.

DD slept in so I got up to make her lunch (salad) and cut some for myself for lunch. I have also made pasta sauce for tonight's tea, left overs can be had during the week probably for DDs lunches.

Friend came round yesterday to tell me that the daughter of a work colleague of late DHs had died. She leaves her husband and 11 month old son. So very sad.

It's raining again so the washing is on the airers in the conservatory, we didn't have the predicted wind but it rained all day yesterday, hope it's not so bad today.

Happy holidays to those going away, hope the weather stays good for you. Hugs to those in need, DG thanks for keeping us up-dated. Molly, take care and look after yourself. Take care. XX

Nice and sunny here near Silverstone. Seems like some races might not have happened with the rain yesterday, as we can hear the cars going round this morning. They had fireworks last night, in the rain, didn't bother yo go out to try to see them, saw the moon in a gap between showers walking Skye.

Letting the awnings dry so we can pack them up as we set off home tomorrow. The caravaners on here will understand this. They are still a little damp from the overnight rain, but the sun and breeze will help. Showers forecast around 11a.m. So hope to have it down before then.
Need to fill up with diesel, and do a little shopping later, so we don't go home needing to fly to the shops.

It was lovely to have a catch up with Molly and her DH, and hope that she keeps improving.

LW, Lily, Dumplingand others in the wars, (((hugs))), spoons, positive vibes all round. Take care everyone. DG

    Morning all :)

DH and I had a good drive around yesterday looking at nearby villages to see what they were like. We thought with all the rain it would be good to find out which ones are prone to flooding! Tbh I'm doing my head in with house hunting, I look online everyday and can never find something that covers all the points. I'm half minded to stay here but I won't think that next week when my noisy neighbours get back from holiday :rotfl:

We also visited a lovely mill and I bought some bread flour and a sour dough starter. When I got home I noticed the starter has green bits in it but with my eyesight I can't tell if its mould or little grains :o I will have to find a magnifying glass for a better look. It's a funny starter, a sort of bag of crumbly damp stuff - is that normal?

DS1 gets back from his festival today so I need to have a Hoover first and I can't remember last time I washed floors. I finished front of lacy jumper I'm knitting so will be starting back today, will stick on a DVD while DH goes to his boxing lesson.

Hugs to Molly, MrsMH and all who need x
Have fun to all those getting close to their holidays! :D

Have a lovely day all x

P.s. Anyone watch The Village last night? It was fab!
