Smart Parking Ticket!!

I got a smart parking ticket from asda about a week ago for staying 'over free permitted time' when i paid fir 2 separate 3 hour stay tickets. Its a fine of £40
I have read around and most people say that its okay not to pay them, but my fine has a box on it stating that 'Failure to respond tp this noticeay lead to civil actuon being taken to recover the charge notice charge' which scared me quite a bit.
Do i still need to pay this or can i ignore it? (Or at least write a note to asda, if so, what should be in the note)
Thanks

its not a fine, its an invoice
yes, complain to asda
and read the newbies sticky thread and appeal it too
if this is england or wales, only a FOOL would ignore it0 -
Ive looked at the sticky, and all of the options require you to have actually used asda and have proof that you shopped there, which i do not, nor do i have the parking tickets that i bought on the day to prove that i paid for parking (which i did)0

rubbish, none of that is mentioned in the NEWBIES sticky thread
all irrelevant for your appeal to smart , but obviously you cannot appeal to asda if you havent shopped there , so concentrate on appealing to smart, and popla if necessary0 -
What are you talking about? We mean the sticky thread at the top of this forum not the template provided by MSE in their articles. Read the sticky thread I wrote, at the top of this forum, the template first appeal is there! Send it electronically and Smart will then cancel a month later. Easy peasy.Connor1744 wrote: »Ive looked at the sticky, and all of the options require you to have actually used asda and have proof that you shopped there, which i do not, nor do i have the parking tickets that i bought on the day to prove that i paid for parking (which i did)PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

that is because you still havent read the newbies sticky thread at the top of this forum
you are no expert on this, so frankly your opinion isnt relevant, as if you did know about this subject then you wouldnt be asking on here about it
just read and follow the advice in the newbies sticky thread by coupon-mad. and no other threads0 -

if you have appealed, and if they dont cancel, use the popla code and appeal to popla as per post #3 of the newbies sticky thread by coupon-mad (and no other sticky)0

we will when you have read and digested the NEWBIES sticky thread at the top of this forum
it takes a lot longer than 30 minutes to follow it never mind understand it
it also would help if you would drop the pre-conceived ideas that you are "guilty" and have no defence, when 99.9% of the rest of us know this is untrue0
