I spent £40 this week for a family of 3 (we also have 2 dogs and a cat but they already have food). We're using meat from the freezer. Some weeks it's £80+Wife and mother :jGrocery budget

My food budget for me, OH and one mog is £225 a month, this month I've spent about £200 which included some BBQ stuff from m&s as a treat. This includes cleaning stuff but not usually toiletries unless I get them in the food shop. OH often buys his beers and a few top ups of milk. I don't always cook from scratch as we both have busy ,demanding jobs and sometimes I have neither the time nor inclination. I do watch what I spend, tend to buy meat only on offer (OH is veggie so I feel guilty buying it for me at full price) and if we had to cut back I suspect I could.
I include anything from supermarket/£ shop so shampoo, mouthwash etc but nothing I'd get from a cosmetics counter in a department store. For some reason there's an important difference.0
