Delta flight from Atlanta to Manchester

Hello

In June we travelled (Myself, 2 other adults and 5 children under 8) by Delta from Memphis to Atlanta. This flight was delayed causing us to arrive at the gate for our connecting flight to Manchester too late (even though plane was still there..)Big stress and bad customer service by Delta but we got booked on flight 24 hours later and given hotel to stay in. What are the chances of getting compensation as not on an EU flight or travelling from EU country?

Argue for lots and lots of frequent flyer miles as compo.

not from the airline but have you claimed from your travel insurance?

Ahh ok. So it makes no odds that you are flying TO an EU country. Shame. Yes will try our travel insurance also thnks

correct, you either need to be departing from an EU airport on any airline, or departing from outside the EU to the EU on an EU airline

Delay on a flight wholly outside the EU does not qualify irrespective or airline
