CGharrison wrote: »hi guys,
I have been working for an insurance broker since I left school a few years ago and am now looking to study and complete Cert CII, I will at the moment at least be covering the costs myself. I am interested to know which units people suggest I choose, I am interested in underwriting so was looking at doing IF3 but I am not sure if I should be looking to do LM1 & LM2 as well.
Thanks
Once you have CertCII, I'm not sure anyone would ever ask how you go it. Remember you are probably looking at £750 to do three exams to get Cert. The IF exams are relatively straightforward but unless you are dealing with Lloyds, you'll probably find LM harder,
Your annual membership costs increases when you achieve Cert and you will have minimum CPD requirements.
I would find an employer willing to fund this, and hopefully reward you on completion0 -
Thanks for the replies, I really appreciate it.
Seems the consensus is it would be better to find an employer to fund this. But just one question, I don't have any further qualifications other than GCSE's and an NVQ from my apprenticeship, do you think I could still find a entry level underwriting position?

Hey,
Is anyone able to look at my above question please?0
