Sorry If I am being thick but I am on 02 pay as you go go go as a pretty new customer.
I am told if I top up by £10 I can have free texts, free time and 500mgs.
Texts, fine. Calls, fine. How do I activate the free internet time. I just keep getting 'you are not connected to the internet'

Is the phone from O2? If not you may have to enter the setting for their internet service...0

Yeah, sounds like you don't have the correct internet settings for the phone.

Tap Mobile Networks
Tap Access Point Names
Tap the Menu button
Tap New APN
Name - o2
APN - payandgo.o2.co.uk
Username - payandgo
Password - password
MMSC - http://mmsc.mms.o2.co.uk:8002
MMS Proxy - 82.132.254.1
MMS Port - 8080
Authentication type - PAP
APN type - select internet+mms,
Tap the Menu button
Tap Save
Enable the APN by ensuring the line is ticked, or the radio button is lit by tapping on it====0
