If you don't have any DDs you probably don't have a reward account, you probably just have a second Halifax current account (which is allowed).
Not going into any details, but what moneysavinggirl40 says is possible. ;)

I think the point being made is that they reserve the right to downgrade the account if you don't have 2 DD mandates set up on the account. Note this condition is not the same as the one requiring DDs to pay out for the £5 Reward.

I am saying that it excludes customers who have had this incentive since jan 2012 I had my incentive before Jan 2012 so have switched again since then and hold 2 reward current accounts and have benefited in 2 x£100.

It sounds as if you might not fully understand the terms of the switching offer. Existing customers can switch into an existing account, and they will receive the switching bonus if they had not received a switching bonus since Jan 2012. Whether or not you had any bonus offer before Jan 2012 isn't relevant.

It is also irrelevant whether you have more than the now allowed maximum number of accounts from prior years.

The switching offer does not enable people to apply for additional Reward accounts if they already have 1 sole, or 1 sole and 1 joint, account.

Thanks! I can resist anything but temptation, so I really shouldn't risk an application for a 5th and jeopardise the £240 a year I've been enjoying since October 2009.
  • without the d.ds i guess i was downgraded to current acc. but didn't realise.

I genuinely forgot you shouldn't have more than one anymore. :D

There is a massive difference between having more than one for historic reasons and applying for an additional one now.
