I'm quite happy to ignore you katelister. You have asked for help, ignored it, and made assumptions that you are wrong about. Yet you still carp on that we have not helped you.
I'm off to help someone more deserving on my Saturday night. You can take your chances - perhaps you can tell the Judge he's a !!!!!!, Excel that they are dicks, and anyone you meet that they are dicks. Maybe that's the way you treat people you don't know, and perhaps you have been bred to a sense of entiltlement that folks will bend over backwords to help you out of your little hole.
Excel do take court cases - so you may be needing the services of a solicitor - one that does PPI etc. will be just fine.0 -
Gosh - isn't this extract from elsewhere on the website interesting.
''Sadly new posters seem to be treated harshly more often than they used to. Often it's because they ask questions that have already been asked, or post in the "wrong place".
There's also sometimes a "this is our board" attitude which seems to not want new posters coming in and ruining a pre-established clique.
To be utterly clear - both of these go against the philosophy of this site.
MoneySaving should be fun. Everyone using these boards is here for the same reason, to save money. The site's motto is "Please be nice to other MoneySavers". If you see someone being rude to newbies, please report them to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com.
For this reason, newer forum users have a "newbie" image under their username when they post. We hope it helps other, more regular forum users be more tolerant of new users who may ask questions that seem obvious to them.
Yes, we're aware some may be spammers, trolls or alter egos. But whatever you think, please just report them without responding on the forum discussion itself.
Regular site users can be incredibly helpful in combating this problem. If you have the time, instead of getting frustrated and writing "this has been asked before" please post something like "hi, you may not have seen this, but it may answer your question", and give the link to where it's been answered before.
If they're unsure how to use the forum point them to our Forum Introduction Video.''
Some advice for the next time someone has the audacity to not be too familiar with your site, eh?1 -

Coupon-mad gets paid not a penny for the many hours she spends here helping people. Sounds to me like your sense of entitlement is going to cost you dearly because if you are not going to accept the help you are offered free, gratis, then perhaps you'd be better off just making your £150 contribution to Simon Renshaw-Smith's yacht maintenance fund.Je suis Charlie.0 -

All the threads have different advice - some say to call the debtors, some to call excel and some to ignore.
I just wanted some help - I'll ask elsewhere in future.
Good idea. Try a solicitor.0 -
There's also sometimes a "this is our board" attitude which seems to not want new posters coming in and ruining a pre-established clique.
It would be the dream of the regular posters on this board that this were true. If there were no new posters this would mean that Private Patking Companies no longer issue unfair, excessive, speculative invoices. That debt collectors do not chase up ancient parking charge notices from up to 6 years ago, taht we have defeated IPC, BPA , that the DVLA now only give out keeper details in the rarest of serious cases where people actually deserve a fair charge.
So no posters would indeed be good news. But sadly this is the real world and we see more and more people everyday as these companies ramp up the ways in which they try to extort money out of people.
Too often sadly we need to give a reality check and this can get confused for rudeness. Like a well formed family we do immediately leap to the defence of our fellow posters and occasionally spats like this break out.
But if you spend a little time reading you will see how much great advice is given (albeit bluntly at times) and how many people have been helped in much more dire situations, especially by perhaps one of the chief posters here Coupon-Mad.
Looking back at my first posting whine I came to the board with my one and only PCN, I acted a bit divvy and had a couple of pointed comments, but instead of taking offence, I made it a mission to find out why I was being a bit daft and soon understood. But this did not distract me, I had a successful outcome and as a result try to help others now.Newbie thread: go to the top of this page and find these words: Main site > MoneySavingExpert.com Forums > Household & Travel > Motoring > Parking Tickets, Fines & Parking.
