Do Ryanair allow trunki childrens luggage?

I have heard they are strict and it sems my trunki depth is nearly 1cm over.

Flying from bham shortly and wondering whether to buy a new case in case I get charged.

Anyone flown with them recently who can advise? Have searched website but can't find any reference to it. Already called today about another problem and was kept waiting ages so don' t really want to have to call again.

    Yes. Trunki is fine
  • With Ryanair, the rules are clear. If your "trunki" isn't within the measurements stipulated by Ryanair, you have absolutely no comeback if they pull you up on it. The rules are clear - it must fit within the container. Even 1cm is too many if the gate agent wishes to enforce the rules - and you won't get any sympathy on here if you have to pay to put it in the hold.

Ryanair can be very strict if they choose, and I've seen them use a tape measure before on particularly busy summer flights to make sure that all luggage conformed with the dimensions.

    They are (they're)
    sitting on the floor.
    Their
books are lying on the floor.
The books are sitting just there on the floor.

My grandson had his trunki on Ryanair last month. I have seen loads when I have flown.

Are all trunkis the same size? If not then there is little point saying others have taken them on board with no problem.

That answers your question then. Whether they enforce the rules on every flight is another question.

    Trunki Dimensions

Trunki has generous dimensions of 46 x 20.5 x 31 cm and it has an 18 litre internal capacity

    RYANAIR Hand baggage
One cabin bag weighing up to 10 kg with maximum dimensions of 55cm x 40cm x 20cm, plus 1 small bag up to 35 x 20 x 20 cms may be carried per passenger*

So we are talking 5mm and overall it is well within allowances
  • What about the depth of 31cm that the trunki has? Ryanair only allow a depth of 20cm.
