I too have received the letter from Rossendales this week - Rang them to find out the 'offence' - July 2009!
Based on a local forums advice at the time I wrote to Excel challenging the ticket claiming 'the fine is disproportionate'. I stated that this this was not a 'deliberate violation' because I did not notice the signs (only section of the Retail Park that was not free!), but, seeing as I did not purchase a Parking ticket I enclosed a cheque to cover their 'loss of income' & an admin fee.
Excel banked the cheque & sent me one more Final Demand Notice in September 2009.
This morning I told Rossendales that they would have no further response from me.
Have I done it all wrong?0 -
My dad has a new car every 3 years. The letter is just from rossendales it states this:
Client: excel parking services ltd
Client ref: xl#######
Our ref: #######
Date 6th August 2014
Dear mr ********
Your debt has been passed to us by the above client we are instructed that you ignored previous requests for payment and we intend to recover your outstanding debt immediately.
Unless you pay us the debt amount in full within 7 day or contact or immediately with your proposals recovery action will commence.
That is definitely worthy of a complaint, how on earth can you respond to this when you don't know the exact date of this supposed parking event? This could be statute barred and they are not entitled to anything. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

snap got a letter on 6th August 2014 for a ticket issued in December 2010. I wasn't the driver at the time so feel to either ring them and tell them or just ignore. I have already told Excel I wasn't the driver both in writing and verbally back in Feb 2011.0

Hi please please help
My mum has received 2 tickets in 2 weeks. First for no blue badge via able but it was there and for parking in parent/child bay. She was collecting me and child from the pet shop
We sent an appeal with evidence of blue badge. They refused it
She is now in a real panic because they are threating court action
I contacted the shops but no one seems to have employed this company but they don't seem that interested
Any advice. Thank you0 -
