    As long as you also ignore their "score" too, as this is also a made up random number. But your Experian report won't tell you if you are able to buy things on credit - decisions are made by lenders using data sources including data from your credit files (but not the non existent score).

    It is worth getting copies of your credit file from all 3 agencies experian, equifax and callcredit (noddle). It is likely all will have slightly different information and if you are planning to apply for credit then you won't know which 1 or 2 or 3 a potential lender will choose to search.

    The best strategy is to look at the data in your statutory credit file (costs £2 each from experian and equifax) and check that the data on that is all accurate, as that is what a potential lender will see. They don't see the score or the rating that an agency will sell you.
