Noddle score 5/5

Hello ,

I am a new member on this forum. I would like to know if anyone has used noddle to check thier credit scores?. My previous score was 3/5 and within 6 months it has changed to 5/5. I am a bit shocked as i made few credit applications in June so how has my score increased?

I applied for Halifax credit card just to check whether the score rating is geniune. But unfortunetly i got rejected. I am very worried now as i don't know whether this truly reflects that my credit rating is good. Please can someone advice me?

Your "score" is worthless, it means nothing to anyone other than yourself as no lender sees it. What lenders see is what your credit history is like, late payments, defaults, payments on time etc..

I've never really trusted Noddle to be honest.

My score has stayed constantly at 3/5 despite paying off agreements, having credit limits increased by lenders and not making any new applications.

It always seems to be out of date re: balances and limits on agreements too.

Having had a Noddle account for a couple of months and just got my Equifax and Experian credit files I can assure you that Noddle do not necessarily show all of your information.

They had not made any links to my married and maiden names, these links are showing on both my Experian and Equifax accounts.

Also, not all credit providers report to all agencies so you could have defaults etc. that do not show on Noddle but on your other credit files - as I have just found out! Two on my files that aren't even mine from the looks of things, so I now need to sort this out.

Basically don't trust Noddle to be showing all of your information.

And I am sure you will now also receive numerous posts telling you that your actual "credit score" with any of the agencies is worthless. THAT IS CORRECT SO LISTEN.

What you need to look at is the information that is provided within the report, make sure nothing is inaccurate, and keep everything as up to date as possible.

    Good luck!

CRA's will only show what information they hold on you. When an organisation uses Noodle to preform a check on you then they'll obtain from the other CRA's as well.

That score thing is useless. I have 3/5 on Noddle but still get the best rates offered on loans....latest was 4.1% unsecured. I also get credit limit increases in the thousands every few months and so on. I don't take any notice of it. I had 5/5 when I had little outstanding credit at all.

:p Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S) :p Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money. :p

My Noddle score has been 1/5 for many years and then one month it changed to 3/5. The following month it went back down to 1/5 so unsure why it changed for one month.

Focus more on the information than the score. As long as you are happy it is accurate then that's all that masters. CRA's don't hold salary so debt to salary which lenders care most about isn't included.

This is right, focus on the information that Noddle contains. Is it correct? Then ALSO look at the other agencies as well, there may be things on there that are different from Noddle.

Different lenders check all of the agencies so make sure all of your information is correct. Do not rely on just one agency - the others can hold other information!

My Noddle score was 1/5 last month, this month it is 5/5. Only thing that is different is all my accounts are a month older.

Because (as explained in the second post in this thread) the "score means" nothing. I think you must have missed that post and all the others on here on similar lines.
