Android screen protectors

No idea what an Android screen protector is as Android is an OS not a phone or a scren protector .
Their are a number of different screen protectors on the market . Either line up and stick once or using either a supplied liquid or a very small amount of water wiped over the surface and protector placed in position .
Their are a large number of how to and videos on the web for the varying types .

The plastic screen protectors drive me mad! Phones are bad enough, I had a terrible experience trying to put one on a Nook HD+ tablet last week*.
Buy a tempered glass one, and you will never go back (they're now around £1.50 or so on ebay, depending on your Android phone model).

Obviously I don't recommend taking a pair of scissors to your phone with a tempered glass protector on!
They are amazing, they are tough, easy to apply and *no bubbles*. They even seem to allow better screen responsiveness: I feel the plastic protectors dull the sensitivity a little.
*Can't get a tempered glass protector for the Nook HD+, as far as I can see, so I had no choice

I hate the screen protectors, seems so easy to put 1 on yet its not or I find it hard. Might try 1 of these tempered glass ones.0

clean the phone with the soft cloth it comes with.
take a piece of selotape and holding it at the ends stick it directly on the screen, lift it off and repeat for the entire screen space.
peal the back off the screen protector and lay it on the bottom edge of the phone
once the bottom cm of the screen protector is down hold it in place with your thumb, using a credit card (my personal favorite is an Ikea Family card) slide it up the screen slowly and steadily.
Work any bubbles out from the middle to the edge.

I normally get mine from ebay. Amazon will stock for most handets too. OP, you do need to know what brand and type your handset is first though as there is a big difference between the types in terms of size of screen0

Am I reading that correctly; that you cover the phone's screen with what comes off sticky side of sellotape?clean the phone with the soft cloth it comes with.

What phone do you have? For most modern smartphones these days screen protectors are completely unnecessary.0

I didn't understand that either. Is it meant to leave the screen clean or sticky?Am I reading that correctly; that you cover the phone's screen with what comes off sticky side of sellotape?Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0 -

I think the sellotape was the final part of the cleaning process to make sure you've pulled all off the last remaining dust from the screen before applying the protector. Cleaning with a cloth often generates static, so you end up with a sneaky dust particle or dog hair on the screen that you only spot when the protector is stuck down.0
