Had cause to pass through Knutsford last Sunday so out of curiousity I stopped off to take a look at Red Cow Yard.

It's a little lane down behind a pub/restaurant which is now called the Old Sessions House (but which used to be The Red Cow). There are a number of small businesses in what were probably once the pub's outbuildings.

Gladstones is easily visible as pic below (and similar pics if you google them) shows

Couldn't find any signage for the IPC or the IAS at all but I'm presuming it's the door labelled Unit 4 in this pic

which is tagged onto the left hand side towards the rear of the same building Gladstones occupy. What a surprise....not!

Oh and guess who manages the parking spaces? :)

Couldn't find a sign for their offices either though

That just proves the point of saying they will accept anyone into the ATA, seedy offices, seedy area, seedy ATA it seems!

Does Parking Eye monitor the car park ? lol Also did you find Parkshield there?

Was surprised by just how run down and shabby it all was given Knutsford itself is actually quite a well to do town with some expensive shops and restaurants.

Parkshield manage the car parking spaces (well bits of spare land)
    :rotfl: :rotfl:

But no sign of their offices. Guess they're keeping a low profile so they can dash out and ticket non-permit holders from behind an unmarked door!!

You probably get a ticket through the post now from Parkshield, they will refuse the appeal, it will go to the IPC for an 'Independent' appeal, that will be rejected of course then Gladstones will write to you demanding payment.

The funny part of the above is that it will stay in the same building during the entire process, but it is 'Independent' ! And there is no business nepotism at all ;)

Only if they've also got face recognition software on their ANPR and have me tagged somewhere on facebook :)

(Only entered their lair on foot - my time on the parking forums has taught me you can't be too careful where these sharks are concerned ;) )

But you're right it would have been funnyl
Alleged parking event, 1st appeal, 2nd appeal and solicitors letters all coming/going from an area of about 30 sq metres max :rotfl:

    Self-ticketing! :rotfl:

I went to Knutsford once, years ago, it is indeed quite posh, they must've tried hard to find a cheap, crappy corner to infest!

As an update, it looks like the IPC vermin is reading this

o I wonder if they have changed all their signs to reflect this??? Or updated their contracts as well? Smacks of Smart Parking here me thinks!

I doubt they have - Capital2Coast are stupid vermin. I complained to the BPA that they were still displaying the BPA logo on their local signs after they had left the BPA. The BPA gave them some ridiculous amount of time to change them. All they did was still a little IPC sticker over the BPA logo but they missed about 20% of the signs ! I love the sticker idea as the signs as at the perfect height for some drunkard to come along and peal them off
