Moto G screen repair
Options
Dropped my Moto G and although in a case it caught the corner and cracked the screen. Phone still working fine. Have been checking around and it is possible to DIY the replacement screen but as a non-techie, won't even attempt it! It seems it is going to cost almost as much as a new phone to get the screen fixed. I have been quoted £70 - £80.
Has anyone had this problem and if you have a contact to get it done cheaper, I would love to know. Thanks.

Not sure about a fix, but they are being sold out at £59 in Tesco IF you can find one, then sell old one on eBay.Certain OTT members have caused me to add this disclaimer: all advice given is free of charge & as such should be taken to be IIRC (as I don't spend hours researching all answers  )!0

Thanks to all. I have senn the You Tube video and even the expert has problems. That is what put me off trying to do it myself. Yes you can get the part for under £30, so £80 seems excessive. Will try to source new one then.."0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0

Actually, I thought the Moto G had tough "Gorilla Glass", surpised it cracked with the case on.0

Sadly if it lands on the right spot (or is that the wrong spot?) it seems Gorilla glass is still likely to shatter. You can see lots of videos on Youtube with people deliberately trying to break the glass on phones and they can take a lot of abuse but one small drop at the wrong angle is all it takes.
