TTFTM the waiting and anticipation are worse than the actual event, I reckon. All you can do is keep your mind occupied, and the time will disappear, and before you know it, your procedure will all be done and you'll be on the road to recovery. I'm only posting sporadically at present, but please know that my best wishes go with you. xIf your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)0

Happy Saturday everyone.
What rain last night! It started after dinner. I was sitting out in the garden reading my kindle. My dear Oh kindly dashed out and helped bring the cushion and sun brollies in. I went down to close the greenhouse.
I have just finished my e book = Echoes of an angel. The story about a boy who lost his eyes but could still see through sounds.
He lead a happy short life.
Choirs = breakfast dishes, WM on and on line. Ironing. Water green house.
Checked emails and deleted some.
Surveys - these seem to be getting longer. 20 /30 minutes for some.
Looked into upgrading my old xp computer to a newer version
UNTIL I read I would loose all my data and have to pay.
Not my penny pinching way.
OS today = was able to loan my Adult DD x2 small bottles for shampoo and conditioner. I filled them up from the larger bottles in the bathroom. She has gone traveling for a few days.
Washed out a plastic bag and put on line. This food bag was given to us with HM food in ages ago. Still being used and washed out/online.
Dinner = Bacon and eggs. sm.sausages, tomatoes and toast.
The bacon is a good buy. Oh raves about it.
A bag of bacon off cuts from Tesco 81p.
We do not care if the bacon is not in rashers, still gets eaten.
I made a list of what meats are in the freezer this morning. We have enough! Not hoards of food, I can't see the point of storing too much. Unless a YS bargain. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
I'm poorly sick, say aahh.
I fell over yesterday and banged my head, there was blood all over my jumper and jeans and i felt terrible.
I was only going into a builders shop for a piece of wood, only 3' and there was a step and i never noticed. When my head hit a pallet on the ground in front of me i stopped. The fella took me in and cleaned it up, he said i needed a couple of stitches but i've not been. Last night i was dabbing it all night with a tissue 'cos it was still bleeding and now i've got a big bruise as if i've been in with Mike Tyson.
On the bright side he gave me the wood for nothing, probably worried i'd shout compo. It was only about 3mls but i felt terrible driving but i didn't have much choice.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Afternoon everyone
Holiday hasn't happened as we are in the part of the country that had severe raining and flash floods last night. We spent over 3 hours last night clearing a flood around our property - we were within 1/2 inch of the water getting inside the property through the front and back door. Hubby, my boys and my parents were all brilliant - we managed to get the standing flood water down to a reasonable level - outside the back and front doors - only to go to bed and wake up in the night to hear it raining yet again - so was up a 5am to find there had been so much more rain that the standing water was right up to within 1/2 inch of both doors again - so started clearing it again this morning, at least it's very bright sunny with a good breeze today - and it's drying up nicely - although we're hoping we're not going to be doing the same thing again tomorrow morning after looking at the dire forecast for tomorrow. Hoping if all is ok overnight tonight and tomorrow we may go on holiday on Monday instead - at least as we have the caravan we can make that choice without losing the whole holiday. I know a lot of the surrounding area has been really badly effected with homes flooded with 3 feet of water inside - I know our situation could be a lot worse. Was pleased to see that as neighbours people have really pulled together - restores your faith in human nature.
Hoping we get a uneventful night and day tomorrow.
Take care x

Sailor sam = aahh! hope you are ok?
nmic - These floods seem to be happening to often! Prehaps we should all live on small hills. The secret to success is making very small, yet constant changes.:)0 -
Where are you Nmic ? It's lovely and sunny here really warm. When i got up this morning you could tell we'd had a shower over night but people are working around with teeshirts and even shorts on. In my last house, it was clay and the back garden use to flood sometimes getting close to the house but here there's a bit of a hill, not much but i'm at the top so never have to worry.
Hope you're Ok.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,

Oh nmlc, we nearly flooded a few weeks ago.
Last night we took a drain cover off to keep the water levels down
Dh has taken the older 2 children to stay at his mums for the week.
I will have to be prepared of the storm hits us.
This afternoon I've had an upset tummy and then a got a bee sting on my foot.
Sailor Sam, take care lovely

We're in East Anglia - near the border of Cambridgeshire and Norfolk - it's been glorious here all day - sunny and warm - although now it's clouding over every now and then. Everywhere has dried up nicely only a few places around the garden are still wet/muddy. So we know we've cleared as much as we can - it will depend on what the weather does tomorrow, but it's been breezy all day - yesterday there wasn't a breath of air and I'm sure that didn't help even after the torrential downpours there was still no wind/breeze. I've got 2 loads of washing dry on the line today really quickly.
Take care x
