Why is your ex only top a y back £400 and u the rest???? Was it a joint claim????
When I got a overpayment with my ex I was told when I phoned up to arrange payment I was only liable for half as we both benefited from it.............same for my hubby when tax credits caught up with him regarding a overpayment for 2 years ago he was also advised the same and he only paid half, they will then chase the joint claimant xxNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050 -

ok im still here im just doing the bare minimum at the moment.
going to work and earning what commission I can, paying my normal bills plus clearing arrears on what I can as well. rent goes up in april but my council tax goes down due to me paying them extra by mistake on online banking and not concentrating .. seemed like the end of the world at the time but again we got thru the month.
DS1 is sick of having part of the month (last couple of days) that the electricity runs out (we're on pre-payment meter) and that the food is rationed (no you can only have 2 pieces of bread for a sandwich and not 4 and so on). when we are short of food at home I hang around the buffets that are provided for clients at lunch a couple of days a week to get some lunch that way.. DS2 is virtually living at his girlfriends house 'cos at least there house is warm and has the heaters on'. I feel like im failing them.
yes revised soa - to take account of new figures. then take stock and move forward again0 -
work picking up again commission wise after the curveball that was thrown at me with changing all the ways everything was done. I cant see why it had to be changed so I guess I didn't give my all - anyway getting back on an even keel with that.
I've had an attachment of earning order put in place by NI contributions office so im down £25 per month from next pay day onwards but in the great scheme of things its not a lot. council tax and water wont have arrears this year so my monthly payment from next month is dropping from what it has been - should still be slightly up from where I have been for the last year.
Ive budgeted ahead for leccie this month - the meter is filled with enough to last till 20th and I get paid on 25th. ive also got some money coming in on 16th so will top it up then. who knows we may even make it to the end of the month without going hungry/ lights going out - that would be a novelty0 -

and that one hadn't even registered with me - even better thanks!0 -
- water bill up to date and new payment schedule come thru for this year - saving of 14£ per month there
- council tax bill thru for the year - down by 49£ pm to take account of no arrears being paid / changed to paying over 12 months and DS1/2 making a contribution

Brilliant news, takes the pressure off a bit.Sealed pot challenge 822
Jan - £176.66 :j0 -
Well I've started tracking every single penny I spend via ynab software and I must say its an eye opener for me - it works for me to be able to visualise pots of money that are assigned to different spends and when the pot is empty I cant take any more. I got the software free courtesy of DS1 whose new job means he is classed as a student again regarding the study part of it (so win there as well). im confident that im going to get thru april without running out of cash/ electric or food - now that would be a real result.
moving forward I think im going to try and do a full and final to clear the smallest of my debts for no other reason that it will make me feel that im doing something and getting somewhere. lowest debt is 137£ so I plan to start at 33% and go up to 50% maximum. Ok in the great scheme of things its not going to make a massive impact on the figures but at least if it works it will give me a boost psychologically and give me practise of how f&f works for the future and bigger balances.0
