  • Thank you all loads. I knew you’d make me feel better.

My rational self knows that he’s just a walking ego without the guts to admit that he’s decided to move onto the next girl. But the rest of me still feels rubbish!

Don't spend anymore time feeling confused and down over this Loser!

In fact you should feel sorry for this sad sad man who obviously has a low self esteem and needs to do this kind of thing time and time again to make himself feel good.

Thank your lucky stars that you found out about this early on and feel good that you did not wast any more time on him.

    He is NOT worth it!

Just get on with your work and dont give him a second glance.

    :)

i was going to suggest that it's never good to s**t on your own doorstep anyway...... but that little gem of advice has already been given!

the fact that he's done this before means that he's practised at it - don't feel bad about it. there's something about being female that involves obsessing over crappy men!! and it's normal (at least i hope it is for my sake!!)

don't worry about it! the best revenge is success! some people are just knobs, there's no point in kicking yourself about it.

I always remember this quote from Frasier whenever I read that:

Frasier: NILES! Niles, get a hold of yourself! Stop it! Stop, stop. It's all right. You're no longer an awkward teenager, you're a renowned psychiatrist. He may have won a battle or two back in junior high school, but that's where he peaked. You won the war. You know the expression, 'Living well is the best revenge'?

Niles: It's a wonderful expression. Just don't know how true it is. Don't see it turning up in a lot of opera plots. 'Ludwig, maddened by the poisoning of his entire family, wreaks vengeance on Gunther in the third act by living well.'

Frasier: All right, Niles. [heads into the kitchen]

Niles: [follows him] 'Whereupon Woton, upon discovering his deception, wreaks vengeance on Gunther in the third act again by living even better than the Duke.'

You have to go out with a lot of Kn*bs before you find a decent guy.

I really wouldn't waste your breath on him.
