Have been threatening with the mortgage expiry for the last two months and it doesn't seem to be moving it along any quicker.
Apparently the only thing that we are waiting for from one on the onward purchases is a 'Deed of variation' I have no idea what this means and when i ask my conveyancer they just say its nothing to worry about.
You have 8 weeks still and there's only one thing outstanding I think you are worrying over nothing.I'd be a bit wary of phoning a solicitor every day, you may find your bill escalating...
Check what your conveyancers fee covers, my solicitor was a fixed price and included as many calls as I wanted.Starting Mortgage Balance: £264,800 (8th Aug 2014)
Current Mortgage Balance: £269,750 (18th April 2016)0 -
Did you use a mortgage broker? This is a good example of where the benefit lies...
Which mortgage lender are you using? Many will extend without too much trouble if your broker can go through their BDM?I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. We got our mortgage with Nationwide, because they where helping with first time buyers with a save to buy scheme.
So im not sure if it makes any difference0 -

It would make a difference as your broker could chase things up with management at Nationwide however now it's down to you.
You need to speak to someone who knows how to get it extended ASAP. It may mean choosing a new product though.I am a mortgage adviser. You should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Nationwide extention is no longer than two weeks.
Solicitor needs to submit CoT with completion date before offer expires and completion date can't be more than two weeks after that, as mentioned.I am a mortgage broker. Thank you for all of your advice it is much appreciated.
Fingers crossed it all goes smoothly0 -
The council has to give a response to whether they want to buy the property back within set time. They usually do not want to buy back.
The rules are:
'You can sell your home to anyone if the landlord doesn’t agree to buy it within 8 weeks.'
I think your vendor is telling you porkies.
Good luck.0 -

Threatening with 4 months remaining is unlikely to have had any impact. To be honest if you've been chasing everyday for the past 2 months since then people will be getting to the point of being fed up. As property transactions do take time. Hence your solicitors laid back approach.0 -

This is exactly what me and my partner think. Too much is going on. According to the agents last friday they was looking to complete this coming friday the 15th. Now this morning, i had an email from my conveyancer saying that the vendors are not looking to complete this week anymore because they have more enquiries to be followed up.
This is becoming a joke now, im being fed false information every other day. I dont know what to do or who to believe.0
