Essentially she should be able to eat what you do, with some modification.
without salt and gravy etc
Shouldnt need to be too pureed either
Snap:D
I used to mash down DD's food with either milk, water or veg stock/water.
At 7 months DD was eating scrambled egg and toast fingers, soup/stew and mash....pretty much anything. Finger foods, she loved chunkc of cheese, melon cubes, bananas, grapes, yogurts, french toast fingers, boiled egg, bread and jam, marmite on toast fingers, pasta etc. She was always a good eater...and still is:rolleyes:
I know someone who was giving their under 1 yr old Happy Meals:eek::eek::eek::eek:...DD didnt have a Mcdonalds till she was around 6.

I am planning ahead for weaning and have read this thread with interest and have no worries about what to feed...have already pureed and frozen apples and carrots ready and am happy to make my own stuff for my baby . What I AM stuck on is how you go on when out and about. Is it possible to feed HM food on the move? Obviously a bought jar is sealed until you open it but how would you go about carting your purees etc around? I guess they would need to be kept cold then heated up unlike a jar which can be fed warm or cold (I think:o)????Laughing at my ancient signature...voodoobaby now 10 years old:eek:0

I witnessed my cousin in Canada giving her 10 month old son Powerade and Beef Jerky! She has also recently put pics on her facebook of his 1st birthday and her friend was feeding her 6 month old daughter a massive chunk of chocolate cake. Her mouth was bulging there was that much cake!
Ive been feeding my 8.5 month old daughter jars up till now but I stocked up at the weekend and im going to get some food made for freezing this week. I have the Annabel Karmel Baby and Toddler meal planner and theres some pretty good recipes in there.

I know people who have taken out h/m baby food using the Avent baby food containers. Not sure how much they are as I got some as a gift - but they are handy! I personally use Plum baby when going out. It's pricy but if you only get the odd one it's totally worth it. I think you would need a small cool bag for it.
One real money saver is weaning seasonally. My DS was weaned on plums, blueberries, carrots and avacado during summertime.Taking baby-steps :beer:0 -

Try blending a portion of whatever you're eating (within reason of course). I did this for my children and they have grown up with quite sophisticated palates.
It backfired slightly when they started school though as they'd never seen a chicken or fish finger etc.
