My dd is doing this baby led weaning. Started a couple of weeks ago at 6 months. That baby can eat anything, and she has no teeth. Sandwiches , corn on the cob, even steak.Anyone who lives within their means suffers from a lack of imagination:beer:

We did baby led weaning here and it was much easier, I didn't puree anything, just gave him food and he ate it. Didn't buy any jars or anything either, he just has whatever we are having so cheaper too. He's 13 months now and eats pretty much anything. This site might help. Also this one has lots of useful info.0 -
Try him on a nice Macaroni Cheese, Cauliflower Cheese but he could handle most foods you can eat, providing they are not too heavily spicedBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

At 10 months old my children were both eating family meals. BLW is the way forward IMO!0

I have always made up my own baby foods but I am running out of meal ideas.
I gave my little one a jar of apple and pear last night and she was crying most of the night. It wasn't until this morning when it "passed":whistle:that she finally settled down. It was a shop brought one that my SIL left behind.
I have done most of the veg and fruit purees and am looking for proper meals to blend for her. She is 8 months old now but was nealr 2 months early so is 6 months 1 week corrected age.
:santa2:I used to suffer from lack of motivation.... now I just can't be arsed.

There are some great recipe books for food for toddlers and babies ......I borrowed some from the local library when I got stuck for ideas for my grandchildren. Some of the ideas I adapted for us grownups!0

She may look like a Stepford Wife but Annabel Karmel knows her stuff when it comes to cooking for babies. Check out her website .
Her books are good but you only really need one of them because she repeats recipes over and over in all her books, in fact the website has all you need.0 -
I was going to reccommend Annabel Karmel too. She has some fabulous recipes for babies & toddlers and they use lots of ingredients that you want babies to be eating IYSWIM. My youngest son was fed a lot of her recipes and is still the most adventurous of all the children for trying new foods.0
