Wedding suit

I did try to look for a clothing section in the forum, but couldn't find one...
This is about my wedding, so hopefully it fits in here.
My other half found her outfit long ago, but it's my suit that's causing the problem. I've bought a blue suit which includes a waistcoat. Unfortunately the waistcoat is too small and the shop has sold out of all the larger sizes!!
But I really like the suit and want to keep it.
So I'm thinking, maybe a waistcoat in a different colour would look good with it? But what colour to go with blue??
And does anyone know any shops that stock more than about 3 different varieties of waistcoats?

Yellow would work.
There is a wedding forum but finding it is a bit tricky. I think it's a sub-forum under the "Christmas wrapping and other seasonal decorations" board0 -

Yes, it does have a silk back to it. I never thought of altering it actually. Is that something a tailor could normally do?0

The wedding forum is a sub-forum of special occasions & celebrations.

A good tailor should be able to alter the waistcoat0 -
A grey waistcoat would look good with a blue suit. The shade of grey would depend on the colour of the blue - make sure there is enough different between the two colours.
Do an internet search for 'blue suit with grey waistcoat' images for some ideas.0 -

Do you have a colour theme? Go for the same as the bridesmaids or table colour theme,I've seen the men at a wedding in bright, really bright, multicoloured ones.Life is like a bath, the longer you are in it the more wrinkly you become.0

Thanks for the help guys.
Some useful links there as well, I had dismissed Next as I looked there before and didn't see any suits I liked but they have a couple of checked waistcoats in blue and grey colours that could work.
Think I'll nip in and have a look at them before work tomorrow.0 -
Really like this off the mytuxedo website

Although it may not go with a blue suit...0 -
It really should be quite simple to put a piece in the back if the waistcoat to let it out a bit. Any decent tailor/dressmaker could do that provided they can match the fabric.
I'd seriously think about matching up to bridesmaids in some way, either a new waistcoat if you buy one or at least a tie.
Alternatively you could lose a bit of weight.;):rotfl:0
