G24 PCN Company Car Driver

Hi
Its probably on the forum here somewhere, but I am a company car driver or a Lex Leasing Vehicle. What should i do about the PCN attached. Yes that was me at Staples High Wycombe, on official staples business rather than a buying customer, (im one of their suppliers and was doing a store visit) so I overstayed by 19 minutes!!!
As a newbie I cant post the image of PCN???

your help appreciated...

Neil

Just follow the NEWBIES guide, but appeal the windscreen PCN instead of waiting for the Notice to Keeper - as a company/lease car it is simplest to keep them out of the loop.

Well if you were doing business with Staples, then surely your contact or the manager can get the ticket waived??????

I didnt have a windscreen ticket, it was a anpr letter in the post to my company. The lease company even charged me £12 for processing it!!!

yes my contact said he could get it cleared then about 10 minutes later said he couldnt???

Should I mention my reason why I was parked there in my appeal letter?

    Cheers.

If you want to be bolshy about it, inform the lease company that the £12 charge is a breach of contract ... this was NOT a fine or penalty charge, it was a speculative invoice. (The lease T&Cs almost certainly talk about fines and penalties. And the lease company are probably BVRLA members, so they should already know about this as the BVRLA issued a communication about this earlier this year).

so on the newies guide as a company car driver it says that its ok to tell them I am the driver, is that right?

Shall I tell them my reason for parking their in my appeal letter? Maybe changing it to a soft appeal letter explaining all the facts of who i work for and why was I there, or will they simply deny the first appeal anyway?

    Mitigation won't work.

Did you speak to Staples Manager himself? If not, then do!

Otherwise, forget the details and follow the well proven path outlined in the Newbies thread and, if you forgive me, rein in your tendency to embellish or explain.. It won't do any good but might do harm,

Yes I spoke to Staples they tell me that the car park is council owned so they cant help me on it. I even rang my contact at Staples Head Office to double check and he told me the same...

ill send the formal appeal template first and see what happens then. warning my company not to pay it or let on who the driver was...

They were lying ... I'm not aware of ANY council car park being run by G24 (a private company).

Right I have my appeal rejected form G24, with a lovely popla appeal form attached. I presume my next step is to get my POPLA code and appeal as in the above link to another Staples car park...
