Question about Mac codes

if you request a Mac code from your provider do you have to change or can you stay?also does the Mac code change because I keep missing deals because they say it can take up to a week to get the Mac code

The MAC code is similar to the PAC Code (for mobile phone number porting).

You don't have to use it and it is valid for 30 days. If you don't use it nothing happens.

Your current provider have to provide it to you within 5 working days, but quite often they are able to provide it to you there and then when you call requesting it.

If you request a MAC from your ISP, then have up to 5 working days to supply this to you.
Sometimes it can take longer if there is a problem, but most of the time there is no problem and you'd get it the same day.

Most ISPs will only cancel your service with them if you use the MAC by providing it to another service provider.
