Just called up EE to leave them and join another provider.
The said it would cost me 6.17 to diconnect, then 29.69 after that. Or is i used the mac code method on 6.17.
If this right? Feel really ripped off. Also What is this MAC code method?

The MAC code is a code EE can provide which you then pass to your new provider to move (migrate) your broadband service.
The £29.69 is a cease supply charge, but you only pay this if you completely stop your broadband. If you migrate using the MAC code you do not pay the cease charge.
Hope this clears up any confusion.0 -
Ty, I phoned them again and the new person was a bit more helpful. I only pay the 6.17 if i cancel early.
Then explained as you did above about the 29.69.
If I migrate using the MAC code would i just be chargered by EE the month after until the switch.
i.e my package switched to 9.99 after the 12 months is up. The person on the phone was very unclear about this0
