And I dont care what your name is, dicky or !!!!!! is an accepted shortened vereion of richard and what ive chosen to refer to you as, no a point just an abreviation.
Of course it is. You just keep telling yourself that.
Or you could be upfront and a man about it and admit it was a sly way of calling me a !!!!!!.
Either way it's not a tactic I've come across since my school days :rotfl:0 -

I cannot see TD ever doing that, not in the near future anyway.
(Note please explain to him what the post means ).0 -

Sounds like a hang up of yours, dont project it on me, if i wanted to call you a !!!!!! then i would have rather than dicky. You seem very denfensive towards me and Im not entirely sure why.0 -
That's your understanding of it, let me explain as you are in denial, when somebody posts something that is obviously badly thought out and makes them look silly then it's a TD (topdaddy) moment, so the post #44 if topdaddy had posted such foolishness, then I could understand, it wasn't a prediction of what you may write, I or anybody could never know that, I posted 6 series as the X6 is a type of 6 series and I'm not up on BMW models (however no doubt you MAY start arguing that the X6 isn't a type of 6 series)
There maybe a little misunderstanding to my posts to you, however there seems to be a lot of misunderstandings from your posts in a lot of threads, this is the 3rd one at a quick recall where IMO your are making yourself look an idiot or just trolling.
Fact of the matter is what you understand from the post #44 is up to you, what other readers understand from it is up to them, you already have created a reputation for yourself, if you want to keep that up, then that is up to you.
Youve made a mistake and try to put it on me. You got it wrong never mind, there will be other oppotunities. I wish you well with them.0 -

What I have put on you, is that you have had a topdaddy moment on 3 threads now, I have not put that on you, you have put that on yourself
So you mistakenly assume that I would say something incorrect about the functioning of a vehicle but that never happened. Then you assume thats that has happened before on a thread you clearly havent read or understood. Then you assume another thread where you think I was wrong has some sort of bearing on this thread even though I wasnt involved until you posted refrencing me. Looks like you have had you very own moment right there.

What a load of tosh.
Cruise control disengages as soon as you press the brake or throttle pedal.
And probably the clutch pedal aswell.
Sounds more like the driver fell asleep.0 -

They do disengage when the clutch is pressed too (or at least they do on VWs) , yes we established the story is a load of tosh as it was '1st' appearing on facebook.
When many 1000s of people manage a system in all weathers and on many roads , and a freak of activity occurs to 'just one' I put it down to that person being a loser (sudden unintended acceleration) more than anything else.0 -
Mine doesn't disengage if the accelerator is pressed but overrides the set speed, then resumes the CC speed when the accelerator is released. Don't know about clutch, got an auto (well, for the pedantic an EGS).0

Yes in the description described the set speed will be over ridden, if the increased speed is used for a few minutes then the set speed is cancelled, I know that is not valid in the case of the original ghost story post, which more to me sounds like the driver had panic'd and depressed the accelerator instead of the brake. How much water was on the road for a vehicle to be aquaplaning for so long?0
