I'm pretty sure modern carsdo both my recent cars with CC do notadd full throttle when resuming CC. It's not even as if it is a scenario where people can read and guess, many can try it themselves.

Do or do not? Which is it?0 -
That hasnt helped. It just reiterates the fact that do and do not are used in the explaination. Are we saying a car will floor its self to regain a few mph or not? Basic comprehension really.
and for some reason i havent been able to quote.odd.0 -
Well dicky, your post has done a runner.0

Do or do not? Which is it?
Here is is again for you....

So to clarify for you again, it does not work like that , well certainly not on modern cars, the CC DOES NOT add full throttle at every opportunity (if at all) . It does work by gently adding power until the set speed is attained.0 -
So post 53 is a typo or what? And your agreeing with me too?0

My car definitely does not apply full throttle on Resume. (That would be terrifying!)
It accelerates more fiercely than I would, but if it didn't I guess no one would ever use it.0 -

Mine doesn't even accelerate fiercly, my last car was a manual and I have pressed resume after doing say 70mph , in 2nd gear and it just gently accelerated, my current car is an auto (dsg) and the kick down doesn't cut in. As it has ADC, even in peak time traffic, it next to drives itself . The last car was certainly more economical when using CC.
Some have a strange idea that CC adds full throttle until the set speed is achieved and in the case of ADC applies the brakes instead of using engine braking.0 -
How can I be agreeing with you, when my post arrived before yours?
Go back to post #44.
Doesnt stop you agreeing with me does it? Post 44 was the post where you said youd expect it from me(nice to be memorable, if your name wasnt there Id have no idea who you were) to which I replied that I dont think it works that way, you then in turn said it does and does not. I even highlighted you saying it for clarity-if thats the correct term for the confusion of your wording. Then dicky70's said something along the lines of "its basic comphrension" and quickly retracted it because he didnt comprehend what was written, maybe the first coffe of the day kicked in and he realised his error.
so in summary I dont think cruise uses full engine power to regain a few lost mph, and you agree( in post 61 as does the previous poster #60 for the same reason as I stated). And nobody has explained these cars that accelerate whilst aqua planning yet either, I await that with baited breath.:cool:0 -

Nothing stops me agreeing with you, however as the post #44 arrived before your post, then it is hard to agree with a statement that is yet to arrive?
I'm not a person that if someone gets something not quite right (your other thread about car heating practices) that they are always not quite right?0
