when my child was little she got a hold of washing powder and scattered it all over my bedroom floor..so I hoovered them up...so everytime I used the hoover it smelt of the washing powder..it was very nice so I stick washing powder in my hoover now...probably be ok to sprinkle over carpet too...:rotfl:
and for nice smells in your home...in the winter when your heating is on...spray a little bit perfume on radiators..gives off a lovely smell when u have ran out of airfreshers...:rotfl:0 -
Bit of cheap essential oil (grapefruit or lemon, something like that) sprinkled on the hoover bag itself works wonders. Only use a few drops though or you will knock yourself out with the smell! You can also use those pot pourri oil refresher thingys too (M&S ones are only a quid or two and last for ages)0

Glad i used the shake and vac up after reading that. At the end of the day a hoover costs more than shake and vac. Especially on with a headlight on it:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . Still cannot see the point of that one.

I sometimes use talcum powder. Usually have some cheap baby talc hanging around, smells lovely and fresh. Just a little sprinkled around does the trick.if i had known then what i know now0

I love my house smelling of fresh laundry so i wondered if washing powder would work in place of artificial smelling shake'n'vac?0
-
Crikey, that's actually a darn good idea.
I have to admit I'm not sure of the answer myself. However I always found it very very difficult to hoover up Shake n vac unless you threw it down and hoovered it up within a millisecond...
maybe try it in a small inconspicuous area first?
DO let us know how you get on, though!
