Further EE problems

Problem one:
No matter what I tried I could not log into my EE account via the my.ee.co.uk link in EE's initial 'Your online statement is ready to view' email - this web page did not work with my Safari browser. I eventually discovered that I could log in at: membercentre.orange.co.uk
Problem two:
I use my own Netgear router which can only send logs via port 25. This had not been a problem with other ISPs but my logs stopped when I joined EE. I phoned EE support and they said that while they provided their own SMTP on port 25 they did not block port 25 traffic to other mail providers. My mail provider did some checks and said the problem was not at their end. I eventually discovered that EE telephone technical support had misinformed me. The following EE web page says that they do block port 25 connections to third parties: ee.co.uk/help/mobile-and-home-connections/broadband-gallery-mobile-broadband/fibre-broadband/home-broadband-email/help-sending-and-receiving-mail
I am now successfully using EE SMTP (smtp.orangehome.co.uk) for my Netgear router logs. This does not require authorisation.
