Hi Buffy! Good to see you!
Well I have forced myself to sit down for 4 hours this morning and have completed planning, writing and resourcing all lessons for my first week :j:j:j
It just took some getting back into it but in a weird way I quite enjoyed it - that certainly won't last when the marking kicks in again.
Apart from that I've done little else yet today other than walking the dog.
I'm going to have a little break and then do an hour or two more this afternoon to get me ahead of the game.
There's a few jobs to do around the house too so they'll get me up and moving as I've been sat down all day so far.
I will have to spend a little bit this afternoon - I need a new memory stick thingy but will order online and find the best deal.
Right, better get off the computer for a while as I've been on it all day......0 -

I was due to go in to work this morning to help process the GCSE results which are released to schools today but permission has been withdrawn and now only the senior leadership team are allowed  Annoying as I'd planned the week around it - oh well, I'll go in early tomorrow instead.
So it means that I have more time to get a bit more work done ready for the new term this morning instead.
I've already walked the dog and am ready to crack on with it.
OH cooked me a lovely 3 course meal last night - he is lovely when he wants to be! I think he's a feeder!:rotfl:
I also found out that I don't get paid until the 20th Sept for my new job:eek: It means that I'll have to rearrange a lot of my direct debits as I currently get paid on the 15th - what a faff!
It also means that I'll have to be even more careful with cash until then:(:(:(
Right I'd better get on with some work......0 -
The school summer holidays have definitely flown by! My two children go back in a fortnight and I'm feeling bittersweet about it!

Ooh, feel like I should de-lurk after seeing you have another 'poppy' reader!! :rotfl: Spooky!!
My DH started back last week (in Scotland) but my DDs don't start back for another couple of weeks (in England) so the school holidays feel like they've been going on forever in my world!!'A watched potato will never chit'...0 -

You wait for ages for one poppy and then two appear - you're like buses!:rotfl:
I'm quite pleased with myself - I have now completely finished all lessons, resources and planning for the first two weeks back and am well ahead of the game:T:T
No mean feat as there are 42 of them:eek::eek:
Roll on Xmas:rotfl:
Going to get the holiday clothes together this evening and make sure that nothing needs washing - might even break out the iron (although that might be a step too far!)
I have to be in work by 8am tomorrow - after 5 weeks off that will be a shock to the system - so a quietish night planned. I was due to go with a friend but given the fact that I'm not getting paid for absolutely ages now it will have to wait. She'll understand.
Will cobble something together from the cupboard/freezer for tea (OH not cooking for me tonight, the selfish git). There's no point in doing any shopping when I'm going away on Friday is there?

Evening!
I'm shattered after a really long day - was up at 5am waiting for the exam results to "go live" online at 6am (sad I know!) - worked for a while then actually went to work to do some data analysis before the students arrived for their results. Stayed there until noon and then came home, walked the dog and then drove for 2 hours to meet mum to give her the dog to look after, chatted for about 45 mins then drove home - this time in rush hour traffic and it took more like 3 and a half hours :mad:
The exam results were really good - a big relief - and my swan song at that school - start a new job in September :eek:
On the money front, I had to put yet more petrol in the car and didn't manage to get to Tesco to use the voucher (£35), I spent £5 on lunch (due to laziness/being busy) but I did control the urge to just buy something easy from the shop for tea and cooked some pasta from the cupboard (took 10 mins:rotfl:).
So, I'm off on hols to Ibiza tomorrow evening and haven't packed or done the ironing yet - can do it in the morning (will have to!). I also need to buy a few little bits and get some cash.
I'm going to spend a bit of time later making sure that I've paid all of the bills etc before I go away and then see how much money I actually have left to get me to pay day - don't really want to look but needs must.
Its an early night and a rest for me .....0
