I refuse to shop at tesco.
Their meat is gross. The chicken is alright but the beef and lamb is disgusting. Dont know where there getting it from but the quality is very poor.
The staff are rude too. I was in there once and asked a member of staff where something was and she huffed at me and pointed and said there!!! really nasty to me.
So i went to the customer service desk to complain and the guy there said he wanted to know who was it. So i took him and pointed her out and he said ' shes a manager' nothing he can do as shes was higher up than him.
What a joke. A manager talking to a customer like that.0 -
Tesco won't do anything stupid with the Clubcard - the amount of data it generates for them is insane.
Exactly.
I dont think Joe Bloggs consumer realises just how many (hundreds?) of millions of extra pounds Tesco make each year from flogging clubcard data.
I mean - if you went up to Mr Nestle and said here you go - i have the names, address and ages of 2 million people here who buy your coffee.......Mr Nestle would be....."name your price":D:D:D:D

Maybe they will change it to one card per houshold or something. I admit I do have 2 accounts I use - one is mine the other my husbands but I only use it for online shop, not the clubs and the like, but people are abusing the fact they do not check the cards and getting 6 or more cards, signing their kids up to the Baby Club and the like to get more points and freebies. It is people doing things like this that will make a difference. I saw a post on PTS the other day that someone had called CS to enquire something about their card and the CSA told her that she had 5 accounts running and then, without her knowledge, merged them. Another was gloating that her 9 year old son had got his newborn basket. Wy would someone need a new baby basket if they had a 9 year old? But this lkind of thing is spoiling it for everyone getting those little things we could not usually afford but getting their shopping via Tesco. I can see more of this happening and while we probably could of got away with having 2 cards each I guess that it is people running all of these accounts in this manner that are spoiling it for the rest of us.0

Tesco don't sell Clubcard data, it would be illegal for them to do so because if they were going to it would have to be in the terms and conditions of the scheme, which it isn't. The data collected from clubcards is purely for internal use so they can judge consumers shopping habits to help make the service better for them so more money gets spent, and so when the statements are distributed you get vouchers of most use to you, so if you only buy Flora butter you won't get a voucher for Bertolli.0 -
So no one knows anything then? But somebody's friend of a friend of a friend might have said something about.....
What a pointless thread!0 -

Have you tried educating the millions of people who shop at Tesco who are clearly happy with the quality and the service? They are obviously totally unaware of your experience and might well all stop shopping there if they realised the truth..........
