I sweat a lot during the night, was no problem till I got my last property and the side of the bed was huge sticky marks brown marks, I did not want to wipe them off incase I took the paint with it.
Been living in new place just over a month and its started to begin here too so do not want the walls covered in sweat

definitely move your bed away from the wall. Sugar soap is probably your best bet to clean the wall, it shouldn't damage the paint0

Thanks, part of the problem is I like to like in the fetal position against the wall as I cannot sleep flat so I like my bed against the wall so my arms don't hang off the bed if I go on my back.
I do have a clothes steamer, the type you attach clothes to the door and steam them but worry this will damage the paint, I also wondered about baby wipes.
I am a naturally clammy person, when I shake peoples hands they tell me they are moist but at same time my skin seems to be well hydrated since I get commented on how good my skin is and how much younger I look(I am 32 and get told I look about 22 sometimes) I hated the heat we had 2 weeks ago as I sweat so much it was dripping off my hair though it actually doesn't smell that much and when it does I just wash under my arms and the smell is gone, not sure if its because my skin is clammy but aftershave or deodorant never seems to last very long on my skin0 -
Have you ever had the clamminess checked out by a GP as it can be a sign of thyroid trouble amongst other things (that can run in families)?:heartsmil When you find people who not only tolerate your quirks but celebrate them with glad cries of "Me too!" be sure to cherish them. Because these weirdos are your true family.0

You could prop a spare headboard between the bed and wall, then drape it with something washable (eg 4.5 tog duvet and cover; comfortable and easy to keep clean and fresh).
I wonder whether one of the dry micro sponges would remove sweat stains, as they are good for other marks.0 -
Sugar soap will get rid of it, it gets rid of most other things.
I would suggest as a previous poster has said, in putting something against the wall, like another headboard and covering it with a large cheap towel.
I don't sweat like you seem to do, but I do sweat a lot on my head/face in bed at night. I have found that if I put a towel over the pillows before going to sleep, I don't seem to sweat and it actually cools me down, which sounds weird, but it really works.
I would also suggest, as already suggested, a visit to the Doctors for some tests. Sweating that much will be losing you a hell of a lot of electrolytes and salts, which your body needs. I would defo do it, if you feel crap in the morning.0 -
I'm pretty sure the paint absorbs the sweat, so you can't clean it off without cleaning off the paint. We renovated a house once and the carpet fitter put his sweaty head on the walls. We had to go around painting again and it still showed up in places.
A day bed or a headboard of sorts that runs the full length of the bed might be an idea. Pr painting the wall with woodwork paint!Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
