Judi can I suggest you find out what antibiotics your mum is on? I'm fine with amoxicillin, but there are a couple of others that give me horrendous side effects. Just check that the ones she's being given are ones she's had before. X

Furrybeastoz - give him time it's only been a few days. If he was a person who had been attacked and slashed in the street you wouldn't expect them to go out again this soon. Give poor oz lots of gentle time at home where he knows he's safe x

Sorry I haven't been sending ((hugs)) and spoons but been a bit preoccupied.

Oz is physically on the mend but mentally he''s a basket case. He still won't go past the tree outside the house. However the whimpering has lessened and we had a couple of well known doggies on a lead say hi. He was fine with them so hopefully he will recover fully.
Poor little chap, he's been thoroughly traumatised!:( Take it slowly; if you can continue very gradually building his confidence by meeting doggies he's already friends with, that should help. Glad to hear that the whimpering has lessened. Probably best to let him take it all at his own pace.

Jessie 'Doodle sends a big tail-wag and a gentle lick. x

Thanks all, I had a bit of a sob this afternoon about one thing and another and fell asleep for an hour.

    I'm okay now.

  • Didn't manage to get on yesterday, because we had a really busy day, so I have just heard Lilyplonk's sad news (((Hugs))) to you and your family Lily xxxx

Judi (((Hugs))), maybe your mum is dehydrated, that can cause halucinations. Hoping she makes a speedy recovery xx

animated-smileys-birthday-043.gifHappy Birthday Jayward, I hope that you have had a lovely day x

Hilly happy that you have proven the so called medical experts wrong :D long may you continue to do so xxxx

FBOZ bless him he must have really been traumatised by the attack x

We had rain overnight but it has been lovely all day.
Started raining half an hour ago, but seems to have stopped for a while. We really need rain here we have had so little over the last couple of months.
At least my four water barrels are now full again :D
Not much doing here apart from trying to keep on top of housework, I find it so hard in the heat.
Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

I'm awake at silly o'clock yet again, so popping in to catch up with posts from yesterday.

thankyou.gif so much for all the good wishes, everybody - this thread is full of lovely caring people.

Congratulations, Hilly - keep proving 'em wrong, hun :T!.

tru - hope all went well at the osteopath.

dumpling - way-to-go, girl - hope you enjoyed your visit with your friend :j.

molly - ((((hugs)))) to you - keep strong.

Judi - Please have your mum's meds (and her urine) checked out where the hallucinations are concerned. I've worked with elderly people for years, and I know how upsetting these can be - yet they can be so easily sorted out once the cause is found. Sorry to hear that your OH is alienating members of the family. I hate to ask this, but has anybody from outside the family ever spoken to him about his attitude :undecided. Could he possibly have any kind of underlying worries that are causing him to become bad-tempered/abusive - hope he sorts himself out soon ................. for your sake of everybody in the family. It's NOT fair on you, especially!

Ozzie and Layla - gentle hugs/strokes to them both. Poor animals get so stressed when in pain/shock.

Hope everybody has a good day - luv Lilyplonk xxx
