This is an “over the garden fence” type thread where we chat about everything Old Style and maybe a little bit more. It’s a great, inspiring and motivating thread we start each day to discuss what Old Style things we’re going to do today or what we’ve achieved already. Everyone’s welcome, please do come in, put your feet up (although check the fence hasn’t just been painted first!) and join us for an Old Style natter. The more the merrier!
As this is the Old Style Board, it would be appreciated if posts could include some Old Style content. Please be aware that many people may have small screens, or slow internet connections, so please don’t post large pictures, or clip art – links are preferred. When you make a post, if you feel like giving it a title, that will help others that don’t have the time to read everything skim through the thread quickly but if not it's not a problem. Please do not start a new daily thread before you go to bed at night because this often leaves things confusing with two daily threads live at the same time. The idea is that a member would start each new daily thread after they get up in the morning.
Some people who chat here like to try to answer everyone. Don’t feel you have to though, a general “hi everyone, hope everyone’s well” is fine.

Good morning everyone
Nothing OS to report except a tiny sale on ebay, oh well little things add up to bigger ones.
In usual mad dash but will try and pop back later.
Well wishes for all sick people and pets and hugs for those that need or just want them. Keep well and safe and have a super day.

Morning all
I'm off to work in a while but not sure how long for as I don't think my room is accessible, still as long as I've made the effort no one can complain, well they can, but I don't care.
Yesterday I was a lady wot lunched, I had a great catchup & natter with a friend.
I came home with a huge bag of baby clothes, an unwanted box of chocolates, an item to sell on ebay & a jacket to wear to the family wedding in October. The Jacket goes really well with one of the fabrics I bought on Monday, I'll post a pic on my blog later.
I have a great idea for a story for this weeks Light & Shade Challenge, so I'm off to work on that now.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -

Dd1 has a uni friend coming for the weekend, so need to sort out the blow up mattress and spare bedding
She had her 2nd date last night , didn't come in until 2 am ,guess who didn't sleep until she was in  anyway she said she had a lovely time and he seems really lovely .
Damp here and overcast , so I won't put the washing out before I go to work.
Have a good day everyone xx0 -

Dinner tonight will be some jacket spuds with han / cheese and hm coleslaw, made the coleslaw last night and part cooked the jackets, so it will be fairly quick once im in tonight.

Morning everyone
Birthday wishes to those celebrating a birthday, hope you have a great day x
Hugs and get well wishes to those that want/need them.
Dull, wet and overcast – very wet underfoot from all the rain during the night. Greenhouse watered.
DH up and gone to work stupid early, he is going to pick DS1 up on his way past in a while.
Dinner last night was scampi, chips and beans for the menfolk, I had mushroom omelette and salad. Remembered to get the meat out of the freezer to defrost, so lamb casserole is now bubbling away in the slow cooker. Will serve that with mash and veg.
Last day of work today – then I finish for my hols – only working until lunchtime, then I have a nail appointment. When I get back this afternoon I will tackle all the normal jobs – I had been keeping up with the washing, I didn’t have enough to make up a load, now it’s raining the dirty wash basket is full!
Take care in the sun and warm weather, remember the sunscreen x
Keep safe and well x

Miserable morning here is Kent, lots of drizzle which according to dh should dry up, hope so as I have one load of washing that needs doing.
Nothing exciting happening here today, need to nip supermarket for a few bits to last us till next week, my sister is coming down from the Midlands on Fri for 4 days so I'll buy a joint of meat to cook for them on Sunday... may even go for a walk around the charity shops with DS

Dinner tonight is Toad in the hole, peas, carrots and broccoli with gravy.

Morning all,
Dark and drizzly in Hastings today, but it is supposed to dry up soon.
Had a lovely day with my Goddaughter yesterday. Took her to a new teashop, which was fab. All mis-matched china, sandwiches with the crusts off and huge slices of cake!
Then I bought her a new bag for school and a dictionary! All in all a great day.
Today it is a year since I had my tumour out. They didn't get it all, and said that the residual cancer would probably kill me within a year... well guess what? I'M STILL HERE!
Enjoying life, and with lots of love and peoples' prayers, hopefully, for a lot longer yet.
Seize the day friends!I Believe in saving money!!!:T

Good Morning everyone, the rain has passed and the lawn is looking green round the edges again and faintly green in the parched bits too, isn't grass clever stuff?
I'm off to the doctors this morning to review medication and will go to W8rose when I'm there, as it's next door, to see if there are any YS bargains to be had. We pressed another gallon of apple juice last night from donated windfalls and are now up to 4 gallons burbling away on the study windowsill. Makes the whole house smell bosky for a few days but is undoubtedly worth it in money saved for He Who Knows tipples. The lurcha seems to be perfectly OK today and has gone out with Dadi for his morning walk with much joy and pinging about, he's such a loon!!!
Hope all the poorlies are feeling better, and that any problems are well on the way to being sorted out, look after yourselves, Lyn xxx.0 -
Morning :hello:
It seems all sports clothes are designed for women that are 6ft tall. The only shorts that were short enough to be called shorts are no good for me because they're tight like cycle shorts, and I need baggier ones. I bought gym shorts and a vest but they're way too long. I look like a teenage boy who's wearing a larger size because he thinks he's more muscular than he actually is. But fatter :rotfl:
My leg has seized up so I won't be doing much today. Mr tru said the muscle felt like bone, it's knotted up that much. Hope the osteopath has magic hands, she's going to need them

Morning.
Very drizzly here in Argyll, the promised rain only arrived late yesterday afternoon. I have to go back to Glasgow today so hope the drive isn't too awful.
Have to get fuel for the car, but apart from that nothing else is being spent.
Excellent news from Hillstep :j
Happy wednesday everyone.0
