Faulty Taps from B&Q

In April 2013 we bought a new bathroom suite from B&Q. Part of this were mixer taps for both the bath and the basin. In recent months they have both developed a fault....
Bath taps - Leak from the central lever that controls the shower. Water can only be hot or cold, there is no middle ground. If cold tap is on a little it makes no difference, turning it slightly more on suddenly makes water go cold.
Basin - Leaks constantly from tap and from the lever that controls water flow.
I went to B&Q about the problem but they directed me to the manufacturer, PJH Group as they provide a 5 year warranty. PJH sent me out some replacement parts and arranged for Drain Doctor to come out and replace.
Today the guy come out to replace the parts and whilst the leaking has stopped, I still cannot control the temperature on the bath taps, and there is still a drip from the shower.
Both units cost over £500 in total. They were a fairly new product at the time we bought them so there were no reviews online however now there are lots, and they are pretty much all bad and all having the same problem as me.
As their first attempt to fix the problem has not fixed it I simply want a refund. How do I go about this? Do I hit B&Q or PJH?

I would guess PJH as B&Q didn't offer the extended warranty they did. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0

Your contract is with b@q but as the are over six months old you would have to prove they are inheritly faulty

PJH Group are not the manufacturer - they manage the distribution of the product for B&Q. The brassware is likely made by a company called LOTA. If you go to store, it would be unlikely they would refuse a replacement. If you get stuck, PJH would likely step in and help with a replacement and claim back from B&Q.0
