Hello, just wondering on an Everyday saver account for Halifax, can I use the card in shops? and will there be a charge?
Many thanks,

I have one
The interest is abysmal !
You get a bog standard debit card if you request one - so yeah it can be used in shops
No charges0 -
Unless your credit rating is shot to pieces I can't see why you'd bother with a savings account debit card when you can get one with a current account that pay far better interest and no fees for use.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0

Cheers for the replies, I actually went in Halifax today and asked about that and apparently you don't receive any interest on any amount with a Current account. My girlfriend also has the same type of account with Nationwide however they don't allow her to use the card in shops :S. I need a card I can use with Interest available! Thanks.

You can apply to other banks than Halifax so you don't need to restrict yourself to their products. TSB pays 5% on their current account up to £4000. Nationwide pay 5% up to £2500 on theirs. Both cards can be used anywhere that accepts Visa.Remember the saying: if it looks too good to be true it almost certainly is.0
